RCB Rider Improvement Day - Sunday, June 23

River City Beemers will hosting a Skills Improvement Day at Reno Fernley Racetrack Sunday, June 23.   Visit www.rcb.org for more details and registration.

Cliff will be leading a ride Saturday, June 22 to the track and Monday, June 24 for the return trip. Camping is available for Saturday night.  More details and routes to come.

May 11th Second Saturday Breakfast and Ride- Change

SJ BMW will not be in the new location by May so we will move the ride to SJ BMW to the Second Saturday of July (5/13). The breakfast location will be at Bill's Cafe 302 N Bascom Ave,  San Jose.   

Since the SSBR for May is only a few weeks away we will leave it scheduled for May 11th at Flames 449 S Winchester Blvd, San Jose.

The April meeting will be at 5:00PM on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the property of Russ Drake's daughter in LaGrange, CA. There are 5 acres of all grass camping with pure well water available.  A porta-potty will be onsite for sanitary use.

Directions:  

From:  Highway 120: make a right on LaGrange Road, go 12.3 miles, right on Las Cruces Way

From:  Highway 132: left turn from 132 to LaGrange Road, go 3.1 miles, left on Las Cruces Way

The property is on the corner of LaGrange Road and Las Cruces Way, and there is gas and a Quick Stop type store just a short way up the road.

After we setup camp, there will be a Street Ride lead by Lee Fulton & GS ride lead by Russ.

Z will be cooking:
Marinated Pork Chops
Chili
Rice
Cornbread
Salad
Coffee in the morning
Cost $15.00

April Saturday Breakfast and Ride

April 13, 2013, we will meet for Breakfast at 8AM at Deans Cafe 620 Main St, Pleasanton and then at ~9 AM ride to Cal Moto Livermore for a short visit and presentation.

The ride will proceed up Morgan Territory out to Marsh Creek road.  There will be shorter 80 mile option ending at Lake De Valle hiking parking lot on Arroyo Road in Livermore. 

At 73 Miles, the second option will turn onto Mines Road and ride up to The Junction and over Mount Hamilton ending at the Chervon Gas station on white road in San Jose for a total of ~138 miles.

Death Valley - March 23rd

Our Members Meeting will be held at Furnace Creek, Saturday March 23rd 2013, 4:30pm.
Campsites have been reserved for Friday and Saturday:

Friday, March 22nd -- Furnace Creek walk-in campsites #115, #116, and #117.

Saturday, March 23rd thru Tuesday morning, March 26th -- Furnace Creek group site K2.

Motorhomes, camp trailers, and RVs are prohibited at these sites, so if you must bring them, please make your own reservations at another area of Furnace Creek Campground.

There will not be a group tour this month.

We begin this month with a series of Saturday rides, stopping along the way at some of our local BMW dealers.

February Members Meeting - Pinnacles National Park

This month our meeting and campout will be the newly designated Pinnacles National Park. The meeting will be held at 4pm on February 23, 2013.

Tour Captain Cliff provides the following:

Tour to the Camp:

Breakfast at Hobee's 165 Los Gatos Blvd, Los Gatos 8AM.

The tour will ride together until just west of Gonzales.  Then the GS riders will take Gloria Rd, 8 miles of dirt over to Highway 25, while the non GS riders will continue south to Kings City for Gas and Lunch.

Depending on arrival time at Pinnacles, there may be a GS ride into Clear Creek Saturday afternoon.  Or we can ride through Clear Creek on Sunday Morning , stopping for brunch in Tres Pinos.  Weather looks promising with forecast for abundant sun and warmer!!!

Track Day - April 30, 2013

For those interested in improving their riding skills, we will have a Norcal club participation track day on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at Sonoma Raceway with Reg Pridmore.

Clear Lake - Jan 26, 2013

The Jan 26th tour to ClearLake will meet for breakfast at 8:00am at:

Riders meeting at 9:00am.  There will be a shorter or longer option to the campsite at the Edgewater Resort. The Longer option will stop for lunch at Applebee's in Ukiah.

Pinnacles Meeting Cancelled - Meet in Portola Valley

Due to the torrential storm that is anticipated this coming weekend, The Pinnacles Camp out is cancelled. The membership meeting will take place at the Alpine Inn.
